our story

Shawn and Tony Winthrop are both natives of the Metro DC area, and both of us have lived in-and-around the District of Columbia for most of our lives. Indian Head reminds us of the amazing communities we grew up in while living in DC and the surrounding suburbs during the 70's and 80's. 

We moved to Indian Head in 2019 and became actively involved with getting to know our neighbors- by waving to everyone while walking our pooches.

We're life-long outdoor junkies -and spend a great deal of our time out in the woods with our dogs -while exploring  and running the vast amount of hiking trails surrounding the greater Indian Head community. We also enjoy spending our free time fishing and kayaking. 

Indian Head is a welcoming community. It certainly welcomed us. It is a fantastic place to live for anyone who thrives in a rural country community. A much slower pace than urban or the suburban city life.  Check Indian Head out and enjoy thriving....not surviving. We will continue to build the community we want to live in -into the future. God willing, we hope to spend the rest of our lives in our Indian Head home.
